Women's Soccer Outlasts Clark, 3-2, in Overtime
Oct 16., 2004 – Springfield College senior Jackie Landers (Niantic, Conn.)
scored the game-winning goal in overtime, lifting the Pride to a 3-2 victory over Clark University in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women’s soccer match this afternoon on Brock-Affleck Field.
SC sophomore back Cassie Carpentier (Bayport, N.Y.)
first struck for the Pride at the 9:27 mark giving SC momentum heading into the second half. With Clark leading 2-1, sophomore Allison Barendse (Utica, N.Y.)
scored in the 85th minute to tie the match at 2-2. Landers scored the decisive goal when she collected a rebound near the Cougar goal.
Clark freshman forward Liz Adamcik (Florence, Mass.)
was fantastic in the loss. Adamcik scored twice for the Cougars, giving her eight goals this season.
SC is back in action on Tues., Oct. 19 when it hosts Smith for a 4:00 p.m. match.

John Gibson, a native of London, England, enters his 14th season as head women's soccer at Springfield College in the fall of 2013. Gibson has led the Pride to the NCAA Tournament in six of the last eight years and has established the Pride as one of the top programs in the country. His clubs have registered an impressive a 165-75-21 record.
