Hamrick Chosen as NEWA Wrestler of the Week Middletown, Conn. - January 14, 2014 - Springfield College junior Eric Hamrick (Collingswood, N.J.) was chosen as the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Wrestler of the Week after a strong showing at the NWCA National Duals last weekend.

Wrestling at 149, Hamrick went 3-0 on the weekend on the national scene to help pace the Pride against some of the top competition in the country.

Hamrick opened up the weekend with a 7-6 decision over Josh Dunkle of Coe College before he defeated Matt Quigley of Elmhurst with a fall in just 38 seconds. In the final match of the day, Hamrick posted a 2-0 decision over Ben Kazimir of Mount Union.

To date, Hamrick owns a 15-2 record, including a 6-0 mark while wrestling at 149.
