Championship Central: Three Springfield College Teams Set For Postseason Play




Springfield, Mass. - November 13, 2013 - Starting on Friday, three Springfield College teams will begin postseason play. The women's volleyball and women's soccer teams will each be on the road for the opening round of their respective NCAA Division III Championships while men's soccer will host the ECAC New England Region Men's Soccer Championship.

The Springfield College women's volleyball team is headed to the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship for the fourth consecutive year. The Pride will take on Baruch in the opening round of the tournament on Friday, which will be hosted at Williams College.

Ticket Prices:
All Session Package: Adults ($12), Students ($10), Children 12 and Under ($7); Children 2 and Under (Free)
Single Session Ticket: Adults ($6), Students ($4), Children Under 12 ($3).

First Round – Friday, Nov. 15 at Williams College
St. Josephs vs. Roger Williams, 12:30 p.m.
UMass-Boston vs. Wellesley, 3:00 p.m.
Baruch vs. Springfield, 5:30 p.m.
Southern Vermont vs. Williams, 8:00 p.m.

Regional Semifinals – Saturday, Nov. 16th at Williams College
UMass-Boston/Wellesley Winner vs. St. Josephs/Roger Williams Winner, 2:30 p.m.
Baruch/Springfield Winner vs. Southern Vermont/Williams Winner, 5:00 p.m.

Regional Final – Sunday, Nov. 17 at Williams College
Two Semifinal Winners, 3:00 p.m.
The winner will advance to the Elite 8 on the campus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan.

For the fourth-straight season, the Springfield College women's soccer team will be competing in the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship this weekend. The Pride will take on Amherst College in the opening round on Saturday in a contest hosted by Messiah College in Grantham, Pa.

Ticket Prices: Adults ($6), Students & Sr. Citizens ($3), Aged 3-12 ($2), Aged 3-under (Free)

Lasell vs. Messiah, 11:00 a.m.
Amherst vs. Springfield, 1:30 p.m.

Second Round – Sunday, Nov. 17 at Messiah College
First Round Winners, 1:30 p.m.



Men’s Soccer

The men’s soccer team earned the top seed in the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Region Men's Soccer Championship and will host the semifinals and final on Saturday and Sunday.

Live stats will be provided for both semifinal games on Saturday and the championship game on Sunday.

Ticket Prices: Adults ($5), Students, Sr. Citizens, Children Under 12 ($3), Springfield College students are free
