Women's Tennis Drops a Match at RPI, 6-3

Erin Woodbury Troy, N.Y. -– April 17, 2011 -- The Springfield College women’s tennis team dropped a match, 6-3, to RPI on Sunday with matches played both inside at the AS+RC and outside at Sharp Courts on the RPI campus due to the weather.

With the victory, the Engineers improved to 10-3 on the season and have now won six of their last seven matches. The Pride slipped to 5-10 on the year.

After winning two out of three doubles matches, RPI won the second, fourth, fifth and sixth singles matches.

Springfield claimed victories at No. 1 and No. 3 singles behind Amy Shaw and Vanessa Senecal.
