DiPaolo and Cartier Pace Women's Cross Country at Keene State Invitational

Lacey Cartier Complete Results

Keene, N.H. - October 3, 2009 - Amanda DiPaolo finished second overall and classmate Lacey Cartier crossed the finish line in seventh as the Springfield College women's cross country team placed fourth out of 12 teams at the Keene State Invitational on Saturday.

In all the Pride finished with 96 points, just six points behind third place MIT. Amherst College cruised to a victory with 25 points, taking first, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth places.

DiPaolo paced the Pride finishing in second place with a time of 18:59, just 19 seconds behind Sophia Galleher of Amherst.

For the Pride, five of its runners finished in 37th place or better. Not far behind DiPaolo was Cartier, who finished in seventh place with a time of 19:20. Michelle Mirti finished the race in 20:21 followed closely by teammates Alex Mustardo (20:23), and Caitlyn Crosby (20:25) for 34th, 35th, and 37th places.

Lindsey Eby finished in 51st place with a time of 21:02 and Molly Powell finished in 59th in 21:08.

The Pride will head to Franklin Park in Boston next Saturday for the New England Championships.
