Price Selected As ECAC Division III New England Women's Soccer All-Star 2009 ECAC Division III New England Women's Soccer All-Stars (.pdf)

Cape Cod, Mass. - December 2, 2009 - After a standout junior season, Courtney Price was selected to the 2009 ECAC Division III New England Women's Soccer All-Star First Team on Wednesday afternoon. Price helped lead the Pride back to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament Championship game as Springfield finished the season with a 12-5-3 record.

A NEWMAC All-Conference First Team honoree, Price moved back to the defensive third this season and anchored Springfield's defense. A tall and physical defender who shut down opponents throughout the season, Price also made her presence felt on the offensive side of the ball as she totaled four goals and three assists this season. As for her defensive efforts, the Enfield, Conn. native led Springfield to just a 0.86 goal against average as SC posted eight shutouts this year.

Price was one of four athletes from the NEWMAC to be named an all-star and was just one of two to be selected to the first team.
