Gaudreault Wins 800m Title At ECAC Division III Championships

Gabriella Gaudreault Troy, N.Y. – May 16, 2014 - Gabriella Gaudreault (Leominster, Mass.) won the 800-meter run on Friday at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships, hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).

Gaudreault’s winning time was 2:13.48, beating the field of 26 runners by nearly three seconds. Gaudreault also won the 800m title this season at the New England Division III Track & Field Championships.

Amanda Martin (Bristol, Conn.) placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.65m, her best of the year.

Springfield's 4x400 and 4x100 relay teams each took 26th place. The 4x400 team of Dina Pitsas, Sam Pomroy, Fatoumata Samura and Gaudreault finished with a time of 4:05.81 and the 4x100 team of Darian Dailey, Erin Womboldt, Elizabeth Saia and Katherine Saia finished in 50.25.
