Men's Tennis Cruises Past Rhode Island College, 7-2

Tim Tunis Providence, R.I. - April 14, 2010 - The Springfield College men's tennis team cruised past non-conference foe Rhode Island College, 7-2, on Wednesday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Courts. The Pride won five of the six singles matches and a pair of doubles matches as it improved to 4-10 this season.

Tim Tunis won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1, and teammed with Benjamin Burnap for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles. Springfield's Mike McGee pulled out a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles and then joined John Schrank for an 8-4 win in No. 3 doubles.

Zach O'Leary won at No. 3 singles, Schrank cruised to victory at No. 4, and Jesse Boyd was victorious at No. 5.
