Earlier in the week, McGayhey was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Volleyball Co-Player of the Week.
The right side hitter opened up the week with a dominant showing in Springfield's record-breaking sweep of WPI. A a team, the Pride produced a school-record .662 hitting percentage, which proved to be the third-highest hitting mark for a three-set match in the history of Division III. In that win, McGayhey totaled eight kills at a .545 clip and posted a match-high five blocks.
On Friday evening, McGayhey powered the Pride to a five-set win over Williams College, who entered the match ranked second in New England according to the latest NCAA Regional rankings. She registered a match-best 16 kills on a .556 clip to go along with three blocks as she limited the Ephs top offensive weapon to her second-lowest hitting percentage of the year.
To wrap up the Volleyball Hall of Fame Tournament on Saturday, McGayhey pounded 11 kills on 17 errorless attempts while adding five blocks in a sweep of Middlebury, before hitting .700 on eight kills versus Trinity.
To date, McGayhey leads the conference with a .380 hitting percentage, which also ranks 14th-best in the nation. The Pride will next play on Saturday against rival-Wellesley, with the winner of the match locking up the top seed in the upcoming NEWMAC Championship.
