Seniors Kelly Blake and Breann Joyce were named to the NEWMAC All-Conference First Team, while Jennifer Joseph and Jenna Webb took home second-team accolades.
Blake earned first-team honors for the fourth time in her career after a remarkable senior campaign in which she powered the Pride to its first conference championship since 2009. The NEWMAC Championship Most Outstanding Player finds herself at the top of nearly every offensive category for the Pride, ranking first in doubles (18), stolen bases (13), and batting average (.404), second in runs (47) and hits (61), and third in both home runs (6) and slugging percentage (.669).
Joyce was selected to the first-team for the third-consecutive year after another sensational season for Springfield. To date, she is tied for third on the team in home runs (6), fourth in RBI (33), and fourth in total bases (78).
Webb has put together one of the finest years a freshman has ever at wearing a Springfield College softball jersey. Currently leading the squad with 46 RBI, she ranks second in slugging percentage (.671) and home runs (7), and is third in both doubles (16), and total hits (57).
Leading the Springfield pitching unit, Joseph had a breakout junior season to earn her first ever all-conference honor. She is second in the league in strikeouts (142), second in opposing batting average (.219), third in innings pitched (130), and fifth in earned run average (1.77).
