Women’s Track & Field Finishes 29th at New England Championships

BOSTON, February 26, 2005 – Springfield College junior Yasmin Goris (Worcester, Mass.) earned All-New England honors after finishing fifth in the 55-meter dash (7.39 seconds) and senior Amanda Alpert (Saugus, Mass.) finished eighth in the shot put (39 feet-7.25 inches) at the New England Championships on Saturday at Boston University.

The Pride placed 29th out of 33 scoring teams in a field of Division I, II, and III schools throughout New England. Boston College took the team title with 125.5 points, followed by UConn (116), and UMass-Lowell (81).
