Headley Garners ECAC Track Athlete of the Week Honors

Steve Headley Named ECAC Runner of the Week Centerville, Mass. - April 1, 2009 - Junior sprinter Steve Headley continued to rack up awards this year as he was named the ECAC Division III Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

The Wilbraham, Mass. native, immediately qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the 100-meters with a school-record and qualifying "A" standard time of 10.54 seconds in a three-way meet at the Coast Guard Invitational last Saturday. He also anchored the Pride's 4x100 relay team that finished first with a time of 42.21 seconds.

Ken Klatka Ken Klatka, an associate professor of physical education at Springfield College, will enter his 38th season as head coach, and 44th as a coach overall, of the men’s track and field program in 2013-2014. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 447 wins, 156 losses, and two ties for an impressive .743 winning percentage.
