Women's Soccer Dominates Babson College, 4-1

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., November 1, 2003 – Springfield College junior midfielder Molly Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.) scored twice in the first half as the Pride defeated Babson College, 4-1, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) quarterfinal women’s soccer match this afternoon.

Springfield freshman forward Annemarie Goodwin (Springfield, Mass.) put the Pride up 3-0 with a goal in the 34th minute off a feed from junior back Meghan McTear (Barre, Vt.).

SC freshman midfielder Michelle Bongiovanni (West Springfield, Mass.) added another goal in the second half in the 61st minute.

Springfield College improves to 9-8-2 on the season. The Pride moves on to face Smith College in a NEWMAC semi-final match on Saturday, November 8, at Wheaton College.
