O'Connell Finishes 88th at the NCAA Nationals in Wisconsin

Ryan O'Connell Winneconne, Wisc. -- November 19, 2011 -- Ryan O'Connell of Springfield College placed 88th as an individual today at the NCAA Division III National Championships at the Lake Breeze Golf Club. The nationals were hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Thus the Springfield College men's cross country season ends.

O'Connell, a native of Middleboro, Mass., ran a time of 25:11.83. He had led SC to a ninth place finish as a team at the New England Regionals at Bowdoin a week earlier.

The team winner at the nationals was North Central (Ill.). Haverford finished second.

There were 279 runners competing as individuals.
