Women's Swimming and Diving Holds Off Coast Guard, 130-111

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., February 1, 2003 - Springfield College junior Marybeth Kuliga (Sanford, Maine) finished first in the 1000-yard free (11:19.04) to help lead the Pride past Coast Guard on Saturday, 130-111. Contributing to the victory was junior Jessica Defoe (Monson, Mass.) as she placed first in the 200-yard free (2:01.29).

SC senior Alison Mellage (Union, N.J.) captured first place in both diving events.

With this victory, the Pride improve to 6-4 on the season, and will next be competing at home against Babson on Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 p.m.
