, April 15, 2003 - - Springfield College junior Chris Sweeney (Wakefield, Mass.)
won in #3 singles play to help lift the Pride to a 5-2 victory over WPI in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference play Tuesday afternoon at Appleton Courts.
Pride freshman Justin Freitas (East Providence, R.I.)
won in #4 singles, while junior Brad Boisvert (Ponaganset, R.I.)
won in #5 singles and sophomore Tim Losee (Berlin, N.H.)
took #6 singles.
Junior Yuta Yoshi (Yokosuka, Japan)
and sophomore Rich Aseltine (Tyngsboro, Mass.)
won #1 doubles and Boisvert teamed up with junior Chris Brouses (Delran, N.J.)
to win #3 doubles for Springfield.
Orest Skoplyak and Steve Fleck both won in singles play for WPI.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his third year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
