Women's Tennis Breezes By St. Louis College of Pharmacy, 7-2

Hilton Head, S.C. - March 16, 2014 - The Springfield College women's tennis opened up its Spring Break trip with a 7-2 victory over the St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Sunday afternoon.

Springfield had a great start to the afternoon, winning all three doubles matches. Sydney Streimer (Mystic, Conn.) and Alanna Grady (Springfield, Mass.) notched a 8-3 victory at No. 3 for the Pride.

In singles play, Ariana Shemms (Goshen, Conn.) posted a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 5, while Rachel London (Port Jefferson, N.Y.) cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at the top spot for the Pride.

On Monday evening, Springfield will square off with Wooster at 6:30 pm.
