Men's Lacrosse To Host MIT While Raising Awareness For Breast Cancer

Men's Lacrosse To Host Breast Cancer Awareness Event Springfield, Mass. - April 8, 2009 - The Springfield College men’s lacrosse team will host MIT on April 25th at Stagg Field with a different twist as the Pride will have its eye on raising awareness towards breast cancer.

The Pride will take on the Engineers in Pilgrim Lacrosse League action at 3:00 pm in the second game of a lacrosse doubleheader on the campus of Springfield College. The women's squad will challenge Smith in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest Saturday afternoon at 12:00 pm.

Springfield College plans to raise breast cancer awareness in the following way:
* pink ribbons will be handed out to all fans
* donations will be accepted to help raise awareness for breast cancer research
* the game program will be pink
Springfield College is requesting fans wear pink apparel to these contests.
