Thirteen Springfield College Women's Cross Country Runners Named Academic All-NEWMAC

Ashley Hawkins Springfield, Mass. -- November 5, 2010 -- A total of thirteen Springfield College women's cross country runners today were named Academic All-Conference by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference. The Pride led the league with 13 so honored.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, achieved second year academic status at her institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Those named were senior Mollie Berndt (Burlington, Wisc.), sophomore Katherine Burns (Billerica, Mass.), junior Kristin Cadigan (East Longmeadow, Mass.), senior co-captain Lacey Cartier (York, Maine), junior Kalyn Conner (Harwich, Mass.), sophomore Ashley Hawkins (Scituate, Mass.), junior Sissel Holloway (St. Croix, Virgin Islands), junior Michelle Mirti (Pompton Plains, N.J.), senior Amanda Mullen (Claremont, N.H.), senior co-captain Kelly Murray (Cohoes, N.Y.), senior Molly Parshley (Timonium, Md.), senior Maeve Powell (Waterford, Conn.), and senior Tiffany Rozenas (Rochester, Mass.)
