Brigham Paces Women's Cross Country To 13th Place at UAlbany Invitational

Albany, N.Y. - October 13, 2007 -- Alyssa Brigham (Penacook, N.H.) finished 29th out of 216 runners at the UAlbany Invitational to lead the Springfield College women's cross country team to a 13th place finish out of 37 teams on Saturday.

In a meet comprised almost entirely of Division I competition, Brigham finished the 5,000 meter course in 18:35. Teammate Lacey Cartier (York, Maine) finished in 43rd place in a time of 18:49. Rounding out the afternoon for the Pride was Amanda DiPaolo (Garrison, N.Y.) in 64th place (19:09), and Jess Borsotti (Northampton, Mass.) in 107th (20:08).

Amanda Mullen (Claremont, N.H.) finished in a time of 20:35 for the Pride.

The Pride return to action at the NEWMAC Championships on October 27. The Championships will be held at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
