Women's Tennis Edges Clark, 5-4, In Home Opener
, Sept. 14, 2004 – Springfield College opened its home schedule with a 5-4 victory over visiting Clark in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women’s tennis match on Appleton Courts.
SC junior Suzanne Caiati (New Canaan, Conn.)
picked up a straight-set win at #1 singles, and teamed with senior Aimee Dalenta (Tolland, Conn.)
for an 8-2 victory at #1 doubles. Junior Meghan Kelly (Queensbury, N.Y.)
and freshman Shannon Desroches (Belchertown, Mass.)
won at 8-2 at #2 doubles, and Kelly was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at #2 singles.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his third year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
