Wesleyan Drops Women's Tennis, 8-1

Erin Woodbury Middletown, Conn. - September 14, 2010 - The Springfield College women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback at Wesleyan University in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon. Erin Woodbury picked up a win at No. 5 singles for the Pride in the loss.

Springfield falls to 0-2 on the season with the loss.

The Pride played very well in singles play as both Sam Carney and Jen Cleary each lost in the third set. Kyla Walgren battled in the No. 4 slot, despite losing 7-6, 7-6.

Springfield will next play in the ITA's over the weekend .
