Head Coach Peter Haley Box Score

Springfield, Mass. - October 3, 2010 - Head coach Peter Haley won his 200th game at Springfield as the men's soccer team posted a 3-0 win over visiting Mitchell College on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference clash. Danny Amato was responsible for a pair of assists in the win, while Ryan Malone tallied the game winner just 5:39 into the contest.

The win boosts Springfield's record to 8-3 on the season, while Mitchell evens its record at 4-4.

Haley, who is in his 26th season at the helm of the Pride and is just the seventh coach in program history, earned his historic win in today's victory.

Malone netted his team-leading fifth goal of the year in the sixth minute as he buried an Amato corner kick into the top right corner of the net.

Mitchell nearly tied the game with nine minutes remaining in the first half as John Burkart's shot hit the post. The ball deflected towards Christopher Rapuano, who shot was snuffed out by Springfield goalie Chris Walton.
