Cumberland, Maine – November 14, 2009 - Senior Amanda DiPaolo finished 30th overall in her final collegiate cross country race as she paced the Springfield College women’s cross country team to a 13th place finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country New England Regional Qualifier at Twin Brooks on Saturday afternoon.
DiPaolo crossed the finish line of the 6,000 meter race in 22:47.4 as she finished 30th overall in the race that had 315 runners.
As a team, Springfield finished in 13th place with an overall team score of 400. Out of the 47 team field, MIT and Middlebury tied for the championship as they both recorded scores of 63.
Lacey Cartier was the next fastest runner for Springfield as she ran the course in a time of 23:00.4 to finish in 40th place. Caitlyn Crosby took 93rd place in the race as she ran a time of 24:19.8, while right behind Crosby was teammate Michelle Mirti, who posted a time of 24:20.7 to take 95th place. The final runner who scored points for Springfield was Alex Mustardo, who placed 142nd after she registered a time of 25:14.7.
Also running on the day for the Pride was Lindsey Eby (155th, 25:27.1), and Molly Powell (129th, 25:54.9).
