Brock, who was one of three Springfield College alums to take part in the series, served as the lead clinician as he provided coaching and teaching techniques to over 150 coaches from Venezuela and other countries in South America. With a translator by his side, Brock did several on-court training sessions with the participants in the clinics. The other two alums to assist Brock were William Boxill and Francisco Diez.
“Once again, I was honored to be able to represent Springfield College and its desire to continually promote the growth of the game of basketball internationally,” said Brock. “Along with that, it was very valuable to continue to support our international alums that have done so many great things around the world after leaving Springfield College.”
The series, which was put on by the Venezuelan Basketball Association, was the third of its kind that Brock has taken part in.
In the summer of 2005 he traveled to Taiwan to lecture and conduct clinics to various Taiwanese age groups. Members of the Taiwanese Basketball Federation have spent extended periods of time observing Coach Brock in season.
In September of 2004, he accepted an invitation to travel to Eastern Europe to hold two days of clinics for over 200 coaches in Estonia. Brock has since been asked to take an active role in the Estonian Basketball Association. He has co-authored a book that serves as the Estonian Basketball Handbook for Coaches.
