Women's Track and Field Competes at All-New England Championships

Nikki Hay Complete Results

Boston, Mass. - February 27, 2010 - The Springfield College women’s track & field team competed in the New England Indoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday afternoon at Boston University. The Pride finished in 25th place with six points, while Connecticut captured the title amassing 202 points.

Nikki Hay captured an eighth place finish in the 55-meter dash, crossing the line in 7.38.

In the field, Fatima Rose finished eighth in the weight throw with a toss of 53-10 1/2. Hay had a solid showing in the triple jump with a leap of 38-06, good enough for a fourth place finish.

The Pride will return to action next Friday as it competes in the ECAC Division III Championships, hosted by Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
