The IMLCA and its membership has initiated a series of clinics and events for youth and high school coaches as well as youth players to benefit the IMLCA Coaches Emergency Fund. Everyone Works For Jack! is the Association's initial effort to establish a Coaches Emergency Fund that will be available to members of the coaching community when they are in financial need.
Jack McGetrick, the coach who, in 2004, was hired to start a new Division I lacrosse program at Bellarmine University, spent 11 seasons at the University of Hartford as its head coach. Jack was named 1997 national coach-of-the-year by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. Jack has had a tremendous influence on young boys and men playing youth, high school and collegiate lacrosse. His efforts to be a leader in developing young boys and men on and off the field has benefitted many around the country. The IMLCA membership now is working to show their appreciation to Jack and support his battle during this great time of need.
College and high school coaches around the country will conduct clinics to benefit the Coaches Emergency Fund’s effort to assist Coach McGetrick.
Individuals interested in making donations may do so by sending a check, made payable to the IMLCA Coaches Emergency Fund to PO Box 644, Forestdale, MA 02644
