Men’s Soccer Falls To Kings Point, 2-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 20, 2003 – Kings Point freshman midfielder Kyle Flynn (Poughquag, N.Y.)scored both goals of the match as the Mariners defeated Springfield College, 2-0, in a non-conference match on Saturday.

Flynn scored his first goal of the match in the 11th minute off of a pass from junior midfielder Joe Meagher (Staten Island, N.Y.).

Mariners' freshman midfielder Patrick Boyle (Middle Village, N.Y.) added an assist on Flynn’s second goal in the 59th minute.

Kings Point sophomore goalkeeper Jarred Shwandt (Libertyville, Ill.)was credited with three saves in the match, while SC junior Tom Bowden (Havertown, Pa.) saved two.

The Pride falls to 1-3 and will next host MCLA on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 4:00 p.m.
