Women's Gymnastics Ranked No. 20 in 2008 NACGC/W Academic Team Rankings

Katlyn Cronin August 12, 2008 - The Springfield College women's gymnastics team was recently honored for the its success in the classroom. The Pride finished in the 20th overall spot in the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) Academic Team Rankings, which was announced earlier this week.

Nine gymnasts garnered individual accolades as the Pride achieved a grade point average of 3.3956 en route to a top-20 ranking.

Leading the way was Jenna Williams with a 3.93 grade point average, while Alice Efland achieved a 3.83 .

The duo of Amberlynn Gifford and Audrey Lastra each registered a 3.79 grade point average, while Jacqueline Mazzola and Ashley Morek finished with GPA's of 3.78.

Rounding out the Pride's individual honorees were Penelope Bohunko (3.74), Katlyn Cronin (3.66), and Kayleigh Davis (3.61).
