Springfield, Mass. - February 2, 2014 - The Springfield College women's gymnastics team produced its highest team score of the season, but narrowly fell to visiting Cortland, 187.575-186.200 on Sunday in Blake Arena.

The Pride won two events in the dual meet, taking first on the bars and the vault.

Lauren Pocius (Wallingford, Conn.) was the winner on the bars, scoring a 9.525 while Kristin Feliu (Elkridge, Md.) took first on the vault with a winning mark of 9.625.

Keelin O'Connell (Pembroke, Mass.) was Springfield's top finisher on the beam with a second-place score of 9.575. Sarah Libuda (White River Jct, Vt.) finished fourth overall in the event with a personal-best score of 9.425.

Abby Clark (Holderness, N.H.) finished first for the Pride on the floor exercise, placing third overall with a personal-best mark of 9.6. Pocius also had a personal-best in the event, finishing fourth with a 9.575.

Springfield will host Brown next Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. start.
