Curtis Competes In Javelin at NCAA Championships

Delaware, Ohio - May 28, 2011 - Junior Kelly Curtis wrapped up her first trip to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships by competing in the javelin on Saturday.

The Princeton, N.J. native finished 15th out of 23 competitors in the event as she tossed the javelin a distance of 39.94m (131-00). Curtis, who placed fourth in the heptathlon earlier this week to earn All-America honors, went into NCAA's seeded 13th in the field after registering a qualifying mark of 41.89 meters.

Kelly Lovett from Carleton won the national championship with a mark of 47.36m (155-04).
