The Pride posted a .297 hitting percentage this season as it rattled off a 26-6 record and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship Regional Semifinals for the fourth-straight season. Led by third-year head coach Moira Long, the Pride won the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship for the second time in the three years.
Individually, Kelsey McGayhey (Shelter Island, N.Y.) hit .373 on the season, which ranked 17th on the individual national rankings. Right behind her was teammate Lauren Holt (Granby, Conn.), whose .368 hitting percentage was 18th-highest in Division III.
Calvin, who went on to win the NCAA Division III National Championship, finished second behind the Pride with a .293 percentage, followed by Eastern (.280), Hope (.269), and Cabrini (.268).
