NCAA BOUND - Golf Headed To NCAA Championship For First Time in Program History

Springfield College Golf Springfield, Mass. - May 7, 2013 - After winning the New England College Conference men's golf championship on October 6-7, the Springfield College golf team earned a berth in the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship. The NCAA's will be played in Destin, Florida on May 14-17, 2013 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

In his 19th season as the head coach for the Pride, Joe Eadie's squad will be the first Springfield golf team to compete on the NCAA stage.

The Pride will send five golfers to Florida, and will be led by Adam Ziewacz. The sophomore fired consecutive rounds of 73 at the NECC Championship to not only win medalist honors, but also earn NECC Player of the Year and NECC Rookie of the Year honors.

Head Coach Joe Eadie

Joe Eadie Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more.
