Martin Selected as the NEWMAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Amanda Martin Babson Park, Mass. - April 15, 2013 - Springfield College's Amanda Martin was selected as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week after a standout showing in a tri-meet this weekend.

A sophomore who hails from Bristol, Conn., Martin was victorious in a of jumping events in Springfield's tri-meet with Coast Guard and WPI. Martin captured the long jump with a leap of 17-feet, 1/2-inch and was also a winner in the triple jump with a leap of 36-feet, 11-inches.
