Sullivan Helps USA Men’s Team Win NORCECA Title

Head Coach Sullivan Springfield, Mass. - October 17, 2013 - Springfield College men's volleyball head coach Charlie Sullivan recently helped the U.S. Men’s National Team win the NORECA Continental Championship for the first time since 2007 at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, BC, Canada.

The U.S. Men finished the tournament 4-0 and qualified for the FIVB Grand Champions Cup in November in Japan. Canada (3-1) won the silver medal and Cuba (4-1) took the bronze.

Sullivan, who is away from campus this semester as he is in the midst of his sabbatical, spent a week prior to the competition in Anaheim, California with the team for the training. He then worked with the team as a consultant and scout for the week-long competition.

It marked the sixth time in Sullivan's career that he has had a stint with the U.S. Men's National Team in international competition.
