In the first round, SC was matched up with the Coast Guard Academy. The Pride defeated the Bears, 32-18, led by Smith's pin of Coast Guard's Kevin Robinson at the 2:57 mark. Senior Andre Lee (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) also picked up a pin at 174 pounds over Colin Boyle at the 6:41 mark to earn SC six team points.

Those were the only Pride winners in the second-round dual, however, as Bridgewater State defeated the Pride, 31-9.

At 125 pounds, Hannigan recorded a pin over USM's Steven Mantilla (3:23), Smith finished off his perfect day with a 10-4 decision over Patrick Hogan, and McGeough won by forfeit. For the Pride, Hannigan had a very solid day, going 3-1 with a pin in the 125-pound weight class.
