  • The Physical Therapy Department held their annual Recognition Day on Friday, April 7. Recognition Day is the department graduation and award ceremony for the 5th year graduating class, and clinical faculty and adjunct faculty are also recognized. One of the primary awards given on that day is the Gertrude Lamb Award, named in honor of Trudy Lamb, Professor Emeritus in Physical Therapy. The award was established to recognize the outstanding contributions made by the award recipient to the profession of physical therapy. This year’s recipient of the award was Sue Lundin. She is a member of the Board of Trustees at Springfield College and Chair of the Academic Affairs Committee of the board. She is the Director of Public Programs for the Connecticut State Department of Mental Retardation. She has made outstanding contributions to the profession and exemplifies the Humanics philosophy.
