Scrapbooks from the Archives

  • Babson Library is proud to display some of the scrapbooks from our archives. The display case, located on the library’s first floor, offers a wonderful glimpse into the College’s past for alumni and students, as well as our guests. Take a moment to celebrate Springfield College history with us!

  • Springfield College 125th Anniversary: History Discussion and Reception
    Join some of Springfield College’s distinguished faculty and staff in a presentation on the College’s 125th anniversary. Refreshments to follow.

Museum of Springfield History Grand Opening

  • Visit the city’s newest museum, which includes a Springfield College display—the only display of a college included in the exhibit.

Homecoming (November 6-8, 2009)

  • 100th Gymnastics Exhibition Home Show
    Join us for this exciting performance, which will highlight the rich, century-long gymnastics heritage at Springfield College.

    Location: Physical Education Complex, Blake Arena.
    Please enter through side lobby. Tickets required for admission.
  • Canoe Parade and Pep Rally
    Join our student-athletes and leaders for this age-old Springfield College tradition, rekindled in celebration of our 125th anniversary.
    November 6, 7-7:30 p.m.
    Location: Lake Massasoit (parade) and Rally Hill (pep rally)
  • Recording History
    In honor of our 125th anniversary, stop by the StoryCorps booth and become a living part of Springfield College’s historical archives.
    November 7, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

  • Coffee House
    Join Professors Emeriti Dr. Edward Sims ’51 and Dr. Beth Evans ’62, as well as Dr. Mimi Murray ’61, G ’68, professor of physical education, for a look at pieces of the College’s history that span a century and a quarter. Sample hot and iced tea blends and coffees along with other light refreshments.

Dance Concert: Movimento

  • MOVIMENTO, a dance concert

    Springfield College students (please bring your student identification card) - $4
    Children under 12 and seniors aged 65 and over - $3
