Cheney Hall, Woods Hall Café Undergo Major Renovations

A major renovation of Cheney Hall, the College's main dining facility, as well as a smaller renovation of Woods Hall Café, is currently being implemented by Springfield College and its food service vendor, Aramark.

Following renovation, Cheney Hall will house Aramark's Fresh Food Company concept, a restaurant-style experience that includes choice areas such as Northern Kitchen, Café Roma, American Bakery, and the Cheney Grille. The result will be an improved dining experience for students, employees and guests. Additionally, the Cheney Hall conference rooms will be renovated, and the Cheney walkway overlooking the Administration Green will be enclosed, to provide additional seating for approximately 130 people.

Woods Hall Café will be renovated to serve as the College's retail sales location, and will include a variety of name brand concepts, including Subway, Freshens, Java City, and Bené Pizza, as well as improved selections of prepared to order foods, such as salads, sandwiches, and sushi.

Renovations began on May 17th. Woods Hall Cafe is expected to be complete by the end of June, and Cheney Hall is expected to be complete by August 1. The College and Aramark Dining Services have erected a temporary dining facility to accommodate the campus community during renovations. The alternate site, located in lot #6 adjacent to Fuller Arts Center, will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
