What are the library's hours?

Check our Hours and Directions page, off of the library homepage, for our current hours. Babson Library is open year-round; however, the library's hours do change during holidays, semester breaks, and the summer.

Where on campus is the library located?

Babson Library is located on Alden Street directly across from the main college green and next to the track. Several visitor parking spaces are available in the parking lot behind the library.

What's new at the library?

The Babson Library Weblog contains the latest news and information from Babson Library, from special events to new books and videos to elevator outages.

Who can use the computers in the reference area?

There are ten computers in the Reference Lab. Six of these computers have been set aside for use by Springfield College students, faculty, and staff exclusively. The remaining computers can be used either by SC students, faculty, and staff or by visitors from the community. All computer users must display a high school ID, a Springfield College ID, or adult ID (e.g. driver's license) when using the computers. Children younger than high school age must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age. When school is in session, high school students may not use the computers before 3:00 p.m., in accordance with the Springfield Public Schools Department.

There are 50 computers in the Open Lab, located in the basement of the library. This lab is open to Springfield College faculty, staff, and students only during library hours. Are there jobs available at the library?

Can I send or receive faxes at the library?

Yes, patrons may send or receive faxes at Babson Library at no charge. The library's fax number is (413) 748-3631. Fax services are only available during certain hours. Please see our Fax Services page for more information.
