Lecturer - SHS Manchester
Springfield College School of Human Services (SHS) invites applications for a part-time faculty position at its Manchester, New Hampshire Campus.
The successful candidate responds to the SHS mission with passion; enjoys and is skilled in teaching and working with adult learners; and appreciates the importance and complexity of working with diverse populations. An earned doctorate in counseling and licensing as a mental health counselor are required. Demonstrated experience in alcohol and other drug education and cultural competency with diverse populations are also required. Strong oral, written, and technology communication skills are necessary.
Responsibilities include advising 30 graduate students and teaching three courses each term, with terms starting in September, January, and May. Instructional responsibilities will include undergraduate/graduate courses in the areas of counseling theories, multicultural and diversity aspects of counseling, family counseling, social and political issues of addiction, and substance use and abuse.
