Springfield College seeks applications for the position of Administrative Assistant for the School of Human Services. Responsibilities include: clerical and administrative support for the Assistant Director of Academic Services; coordinate the daily functioning of the office; organize and maintain department records; draft and prepare a variety of time-sensitive correspondence, reports, memos, and other similar material; greet and provide a liaison for visitors to the office; answer telephones as needed. Interacts highly with all levels of staff including, faculty, administrators and the student population. Perform other tasks as required or requested by the supervisor.
This position requires the knowledge equivalent to that gained through completion of a high school diploma and a minimum of four years directly related, progressively responsible experience; or the equivalent in combined education and experience. Proficiency working in a Windows based environment. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communications and customer service skills required. Must be able to multi-task, work independently and work in a fast-paced environment and handle confidential time-sensitive materials. Weekend work is required.
