Position Description:

The Springfield College Child Development Center, a campus-based, progressive child development program, is accepting applications for a Toddler Teacher. This is a 12 month, 2 days a week position. We are seeking a nurturing, creative, committed professional with the ability to implement innovative curriculum which embraces diversity, and to work as a team teacher to ensure a supportive, educational environment. Working under the supervision of the Child Development Center Director and Lead Teacher, this position will plan and implement a developmental curricula for the group of children assigned; oversee use and maintenance of equipment, materials and the facility; and facilitate parent participation in the program. The successful candidate will work as a team teacher to plan curricula and conduct activities for assigned children; incorporate health and safety standards for the children into the overall program; implement developmentally appropriate children’s curriculum, including provision for affective cognitive and motor development; and promote the development of children’s self-control, self-esteem, and positive relationships with others.


Position Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field. Eligible for DEEC certification.
